A powerful tool to assess the quality and value of physical therapist services, APTA's Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry is helping the association achieve its transformational vision for the physical therapy profession.

It helps practices improve outcomes and supports the profession in its pursuit to improve population health, enhance the patient experience, and lower costs.

The Registry is a health care solution that collects and aggregates a practice’s electronic health record data on patient function and other clinically important measures for patients receiving physical therapist services. These data can be analyzed to enhance practice and fulfill quality reporting requirements.

The purpose of the Registry is to improve outcomes and maximize payment: PTs, EHR vendors, patients, and the profession benefit from the Registry's ability to leverage data in ways that streamline operations, plus reduce administrative burden by providing seamless integration with your EHR. Learn more about benefits of the Registry, as well as review the list of participating EHR vendors.

Our team of research scientists, front-line clinicians and managers, and administrators from the physical therapy business community who provide direction to the Registry on matters of scientific integrity, clinical application, quality, public policy, and research.
