APTA's Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry will cease operations upon submission of the 2022 MIPS reporting year data and is no longer accepting new participants.
APTA's Board of Directors thanks practices and member volunteers who supported this project. The Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry was a good-faith effort to provide an unrivaled repository of outcomes data that would be used to transform care and the quality of life for physical therapy consumers.
Although this project didn't generate the participation necessary for sustainability, we have no regrets about collaborating with industry experts to pursue innovative breakthroughs in practice. APTA continues to promote value-based physical therapist services and the elimination of unwarranted variations in practice.
