Enrollment is easy - experts on staff guide you through the process.
APTA makes it easy. Our staff will work with you every step of the way.
The Registry is a powerful customizable tool to maximize capabilities. We encourage participating practices/organizations to register all physical therapists, but you have options: If you have multiple sites or locations, a subset of sites can be selected to participate, or all sites can participate. PRNs and visiting practitioners are eligible to be enrolled, too.
The Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry is now accepting enrollments for the 2021 MIPS reporting year.
The annual fee for participation depends on the number of PTs enrolled. APTA members receive discounts on enrollment. Make sure your APTA membership is active, or join today.
Annual Fee Per Practitioner
- APTA Member - $299
- Nonmember - $399

Preparing For and Beginning Enrollment
Step 1. Watch This Introductory Video.
This 13-minute video explains what information you'll need to begin the enrollment process, and how to use the Sign-Up Portal.
Step 2. Gather information.
Now that you have reviewed the overview video, gather the information you need to create your account and the user information needed for the practitioners who will be using the Registry.
- Use this Registry Enrollment Prep Sheet to ensure you have the information you need to begin the process.
- Download and review the Sign-Up Quick Start Guide to guide you through the enrollment process, from setting up an account to payment.
Step 3. Sign up.
When you first enter the Sign Up Portal, you will be prompted to create a login and password. You will then be asked to sign a Participation Agreement outlining expectations and participation requirements of both parties. This agreement includes:
- Business Associate Agreement.
- Data Use Agreement addressing the use of protected health information, or PHI, and HIPAA compliance.
Step 4. Meet your Client Account Manager.
Your Client Account Manager will help with integrating with your EHR, and will walk you through the Registry's features, such as using the dashboard to query data and see measure performance.
Step 5. Begin the integration process.
After enrollment is complete, FIGmd's patented software will run in the background of your EHR, pulling data into the Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry on a scheduled basis. The software installation will require little to no extra work on the part of your practice — all the technical work will be handled by your Registry account manager. Learn more about integration and what EHR systems are integrated with the Registry.
Step 6. Transfer data.
Your patient/encounter data is securely transmitted to the Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry data warehouse. Data is separated into de-identified clinical data and PHI data in compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
During the first few weeks, your Client Account Manager will work with you and your EHR vendor to ensure that your patient data correctly transmits to the Registry database.
You're ready to go!
Your EHR will begin automatically transmitting data to the Registry on a scheduled basis, and you will be able to view analytics in the Registry dashboard.
